Inside the Wall with Brian

What He Does at Seventh Wall

In my day-to-day role as a Dispatcher and Tier 1 Support technician, my primary focus is to be a reliable first point of contact for clients. I make sure every request is clearly understood, properly documented, and routed to the right resource as quickly as possible. I help troubleshoot common technical issues, provide timely updates, and ensure communication stays clear and consistent so clients always know what’s happening and what to expect.

At the same time, I focus on keeping workflows running smoothly behind the scenes. This includes prioritizing requests, coordinating schedules, and supporting the technical team by handling initial diagnostics and follow-ups. My goal is to minimize downtime, reduce frustration, and create a positive support experience by being responsive, organized, and attentive to each client’s needs.

What He Loves About His Work

What I love most about my work is being in a position where I can make an immediate, meaningful impact. As a Dispatcher and Tier 1 Support technician, I’m often the first person a client speaks with, and I enjoy turning moments of frustration into clarity and confidence. Helping people get back to work, keeping things organized, and knowing I play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly is genuinely rewarding.

This role also connects closely to my passion for cybersecurity. Every interaction reinforces the importance of secure access, careful troubleshooting, and protecting systems and data from risk, especially at the first point of contact. I enjoy applying a security-minded approach to everyday support, making sure issues are handled correctly, information is protected, and potential risks are identified early. It allows me to build a strong foundation in real-world security awareness while continuing to grow toward more advanced cybersecurity responsibilities.

Why Seventh Wall

I work alongside a group of like-minded IT professionals who are energetic, fun, and occasionally a little out of this world, but always grounded in professionalism. Together, we foster a supportive team environment that values collaboration, respect, and high standards, which directly translates into the way we serve our clients.

This team culture strongly reflects Seventh Wall’s mission to encourage mindful living in today’s ultra-busy society. We approach IT and cybersecurity as seamless utilities, designed to quietly support, protect, and empower rather than distract or overwhelm. Through thoughtful client care, clear communication, and ongoing education, we aim to make technology feel dependable, approachable, and healthy, so our clients can focus on what matters most.

Brian Outside the Office

Getting to know Brian: a lifelong learner, father, and Diet Pepsi enthusiast.

When He's Not Organizing Tickets

Outside of work, I’m a curious lifelong learner with a strong appreciation for cybersecurity, family time, and a cold Diet Pepsi (which may or may not be essential to my operating system). I enjoy digging into new concepts, figuring out how things work, and staying sharp, whether that’s through learning, tinkering, or meaningful conversations. When I’m not at a keyboard, you’ll likely find me recharging in the woods, enjoying the quiet, fresh air, and a much-needed break from screens.

I’m deeply family-oriented and value working with veterans, something that keeps me grounded and purpose-driven. I believe in balancing seriousness with humor, growth with mindfulness, and productivity with perspective. In short: give me good people, a calm environment, a mission worth supporting, and a Diet Pepsi, and I’m all set.

Fun Facts!

  • If I had a warning label, it would say: “IT professional with military instincts. Automatically scans rooms, systems, and snacks for threats.”

  • The song that plays in my head when I walk into a room: “Entrance of the Gladiators” (circus music)

  • Random: I can open a door with my toes

  • The most useful thing I know that isn’t on my resume is that I could survive during the zombie apocalypse.

Side Notes!

I retired from the U.S. Navy in 2018 and decided that wasn’t nearly challenging enough, so I made a midlife career change into IT—earning a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity with a minor in Cloud Computing and Networking. Turns out swapping uniforms for keyboards still scratches the same itch: solving problems, staying alert, and making sure things don’t catch fire (digitally speaking).

Outside of work, I’m married and the proud dad of three daughters, which means I’m highly trained in patience, multitasking, and maintaining situational awareness at all times. I love building things with my hands, watching horror movies (voluntarily), and eating spicy food that I later question all my life choices over. If it involves learning something new, fixing something broken, or making technology behave, I’m probably interested.
